Equipment:

  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing bowl or container
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Funnel
  • 8-12 ounce soap dispenser bottle

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup liquid castile soap
  • 1/4 cup distilled water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin
  • 1-2 teaspoons carrier oil (sweet almond, jojoba, or olive oil for extra moisturizing)
  • 10-20 drops essential oil (optional, for fragrance, lavender, tea tree, or eucalyptus for antibacterial properties)
  • 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil (optional for added skin nourishment)

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, pour the castile soap and distilled water, gently stir to combine. Add the vegetable glycerin, and slowly stir to blend. If using the carrier oil, essential oil, and vitamin E oil, add those in and mix gently to combine.

Transfer to the soap dispenser.

Secure the lid and shake the bottle gently to ensure all ingredients are well-mixed. Test the soap; if it’s too thick, add a little more water, shake to mix.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Shelf life is approximately 1-2 months.

Shake before each use if separation occurs.
